The hotel was well maintained, the staff friendly, and the facilities, such as the restaurant, were good. The room was tidy and clean, and the breakfast was delicious. We were also able to safely store our racing bicycles. The location is great for cycling and walking in the area. Highly recommended!

The Hilckmann house will stay in my memory mainly because of the outstanding friendliness of the staff, who are mostly members of the Hilckmann family. The warm welcome, the room handover, and especially the extraordinary willingness in the restaurant to accommodate all wishes made for a beautiful, human, and personal experience. The large garden behind the place and the very nice staff made a good impression. I only stayed one night, but I’ll revisit this trip eventually (Hermannsweg walk). The vegan options were missing, which I suspect has never been requested before.

The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was good, the beer garden was nice, and the restaurant served tasty food at reasonable prices; I’ll definitely return.
