Situated in Mechernich’s centre on the edge of Eifel National Park, Eifel Quartier Pension und Gasthof “Em Gardestüffje” offers rooms with Wi‑Fi, kitchens, coffee‑pod machines; some have terraces or balconies. Restaurant includes Sky Sports bar, and breakfast is served. Satzvey Castle, Outlet Bad Münstereifel, Burg Vogelsang, Euskirchen spa nearby. Cologne and Bonn are 45 minutes by train; airport an hour’s drive.

The location is great, with a restaurant and supermarket nearby. The rooms are above a café, but we didn’t have any trouble with noise. The bed has a soft mattress and saggy pillows. The freezer’s latch is broken. Minor issues: the kitchen tap sprays in all directions.
