The family guest house is very pretty and sits in a great spot, just a few steps from the Registan and the main sights, yet tucked into the streets where you can see everyday city life. The staff are extremely kind, welcoming and caring. Cleanliness is flawless, the room is spacious and the bathroom is large with all the comforts. The environment is quiet and calm. The breakfast is also good, served in the garden during the summer.

The location is good, a short walk to Registan square and close to many tourist spots, shops and restaurants. The family-run hotel is managed by a young boy and his sister, who are very helpful and considerate. The room is spacious, the bath has air conditioning, and the kitchen is an extra for cooking. No negatives.

“Ideale ligging t.o.v. Registan plein”

The host is incredibly sweet, and despite her young age she tries hard to make you comfortable. She even did the laundry for us without charging. The room is spacious by Uzbek standards, and so is the bathroom. Everything is fairly new. This was one of the few times in Uzbekistan where the TV simply worked, without complicated settings. In the evenings we watched classic Tom & Jerry from bed. The Registan square is only an 8‑minute walk. There is a warm bakery right next to the Guest House, but we only discovered it on the last day. The breakfast was somewhat inconsistent; on the second day there was no bread or juice. On our departure day we had to leave early because of the 8 am train, so we got no breakfast and no small breakfast packet that other places offered for early departures. We were annoyed by a few very negative reviews about this place. People don’t realize how much damage an accommodation can do with a bad review. Do those people even know about the host’s personal circumstances and her two‑year‑older brother? That she lost her mother at a young age, that her father now works abroad? She is still studying (luckily) and running a Guest House on top of that is a huge task. That’s why it’s understandable that sometimes things slip. Those who cut the corners are looking for the cheapest lodging but rate it as if they booked a five‑star hotel.

“Horrible. Una estafa absoluta y un peligro viajando con bebés: Mentiras, suciedad y dejadez”

We booked this place far in advance for a crucial reason: we needed the kitchen to prepare meals for our 18‑month‑old baby. In the end it was all a lie. When we arrived they told us our room was occupied and kept us waiting over 3 hours. The owner vanished all the time, leaving us alone and forcing us to feed the child there amid chaos. Terrible experience. To top it off, they lied that they would take us to “another hotel”, but tried to put us in a filthy room full of trash that looked like a relative’s or friend’s house. When we said we were leaving, they rushed to find a real hotel on Booking (after lying that everything else was full). They also tried to make us pay breakfast at that new hotel; we had to refuse firmly until they finally covered it. The worst didn’t end there. The next day we returned to their hotel and it was pathetic: the room wasn’t cleaned, no towels were left, and there was no toilet paper. The kitchen we paid for was unusable, filthy, full of their trash and personal items; it was impossible to use. To finish, the breakfast they offered was laughable: the first day was somewhat acceptable, but the second day there was almost no food. A complete lack of professionalism and respect. I do not recommend it under any circumstances.
