I really liked that the room was very, very large and you could even unpack your luggage comfortably. I didn't like the smell that the building had—it seemed like mold (but it wasn't), probably because they don't use room deodorants or perfumes.

Huge room. Amazing onsen in the bath! Seriously. A jet tub and separate shower with counter and mirror just like the full onsens. Also, separate sink with all the necessary toiletries and separate toilet with a Toto toilet. The bed wasn't super comfortable, but BIG king. Also the entire room was spotless. Free coffee and tea and reception. The Shrine, palace and gardens are a 10 minute walk. Best value ever. Especially compared to private rooms in hostels that cost nearly double and don't have a private bath, much less an onsen in the room! The bed was quite hard.

The bath was big and the toilet was separate. The bed was also spacious! At the reception, for some reason, I was asked to show ID and a copy of my My Number card was taken without any explanation. No privacy policy was explained.
