The hotel sits a little uphill from the Visegrad Gate and you can get there on the mini‑bus that heads toward Faletići. The area is quiet, a supermarket is right next to the building, and my room was peaceful. But the name is confusing—Hayat Hills versus Hotel Hayat downhill—and the taxi driver had to sort it out himself. There was no staff on site, and payment was only cash, so plan accordingly.

The room was dirty and in rough shape, and the location was a hassle to get to. I was disappointed overall and would not recommend it.

It was a quiet place with no city noise, but the room was full of dust, the curtains were yellowed, the toilet was too small for larger people, and the beds were falling apart.

We stayed without any hot water for two nights—no tap water day or night. On top of that, it was minus 10 degrees outside. Disaster.

The hotel is clean and tidy, and the staff are very friendly and professional. It’s very close to Bascarsija, which is great. However, Google Maps doesn’t give a precise location, there are no signs, and the narrow one‑way streets make it hard to find.
