The staff were polite, friendly, and helpful, and we received a room with a view. The old building had a lot of history and felt central to the local community, but the high street nearby still has a bank, petrol station, small supermarket, four other pubs, and various small independent businesses that seem to be struggling.
“Lovely historic dog friendly hotel with great service in a lovely, quiet village.”
The charming old hotel in the quiet village had great staff and atmosphere, and our dog was exceptionally well taken care of; she definitely wants to return for a sausage breakfast. It was a very pleasant stay, with hardly anything negative.
“A real pleasure”
The staff were very welcoming, and the hotel and room were very comfortable.
“Vey poor and dated property”
The only reason we chose this place for one night was its location; there wasn’t much else to like. We were very disappointed—it felt more like an inn than a hotel, the overall condition of the property left us unimpressed, and we won’t stay here again.
“Tranquil but the food wasn’t the best and a lengthy wait although staff did come and apologise breakfast was over cooke”
It was set in a beautiful location, but the grounds and views were beautiful.
