I found the place pretty nice for a stay in Paris, though the room was small but spotless. The location was a bit too far from the train station, about a 12‑15 minute walk, and we didn’t receive a view or balcony room as promised.

Hôtel Relais Saint Jacques Paris is nestled in the Latin Quarter, adjacent to Luxembourg Gardens, offering a serene retreat. The hotel features individually decorated rooms with LCD TVs, en suite facilities, and views of Rue de l’Abbé or the Panthéon. A warm buffet breakfast is served daily, alongside a fashionable bar and Louis XV-style salon. Notre Dame Cathedral and Saint-Germain des Prés are within walking distance.

The location was good, but the bed felt very hard.

The staff were lovely, the room was clean and of a good size, and the tea and coffee facilities with a biscuit were a nice touch, though the decor felt a little tired.

Breakfast was poor with little variety; when I arrived 45 minutes before the breakfast hour ended there was no yoghurt, very little fresh fruit, and no capsules for strong coffee. When I mentioned it to staff, they said the order hadn’t arrived. The breakfast and the low‑quality coffee capsules in the room were disappointing.

The décor and location were great, but the sleeping cushions were uncomfortable, and having to pay a €50 deposit/minibar fee was a downside.
