“A Sicilian gem – the best stay we’ve had in years!”
We had an outstanding stay at Casale Sciuscia. From the moment we arrived, Antonio and his lovely wife treated us like family, going out of their way to show us the best of Sicilian culture and food, which left us feeling like we’d made friends rather than just having hosts. The property sits in a very convenient spot: under an hour from Catania airport, about 10 minutes to Noto, a short drive to the beaches of the Riserva di Vendicari and Avola’s shops, and around 30 minutes to towns such as Marzamemi, Isola delle Correnti, Siracusa/Ortigia, and Modica, with Ragusa also reachable. The beach is a 5–10 minute walk away, making it easy to combine day trips with seaside time. Even though it’s close to everything, the area around the property is completely calm and private, which makes the value for money so high: you get total privacy and a private pool with extended views and no noise or disturbance, which is hard to find. There is only one other double room on the grounds, and they are built back to back so even when both rooms are occupied, privacy is maintained. The nearby beach was pleasantly quiet compared to others in the region. The accommodation itself is spacious, clean, and well‑equipped. The large room and comfortable bed made the stay very pleasant, and the view of the garden and pool added to the overall atmosphere. Having a private pool and sunbeds was a real plus, allowing for time outdoors in full privacy. Casale Sciuscia combines a central base for exploring with a peaceful setting and attentive hosts. It’s a great option for anyone wanting both convenience and relaxation during their time in Sicily. The only thing we wish we’d stayed longer!
