The setting was calm and far from city lights, letting us see and photograph the auroras from inside on 9sep26, with lake views. The house was very functional and fully equipped, including a wood stove with a supply of firewood. The front door lock was a nightmare and you end up leaving the door open; the second room is a loft with four low beds and a staircase only suitable for fit people. The main room had a double bed and a single, so we managed fine. Keep in mind it’s almost 10km from Inari, so a car is essential.

The spot by the river is simply unbeatable, and the shared spaces—kitchen, dining area, and social spots—are spacious and functional. The rooms are plain but work well, and the staff moved us into a room that actually fit our needs better than the one we booked online. Renting the inexpensive, good-quality rowboats was a nice bonus.

The lakeside location was lovely, and the house was roomy with a central fireplace that gave a cozy vibe. However, the property feels a bit dated and the beds weren't especially comfortable. The staircase leading to the sleeping area is quite steep.
