The location was simply fantastic, surrounded by nature and quiet, and the hosts were very friendly and responded immediately to questions; if some updates are made, this apartment would be highly recommended, but the equipment is outdated, the floor creaks loudly, and there are no TVs in the rooms.

The location was great, with shops within 6‑12 km by car and the ski and sledging track in Hunau easily reachable, plus Winterberg about 20‑25 km away. Before arriving we didn’t get any details about what was missing in the apartment, such as basic kitchen items like a sponge, cleaning cloths for tables and countertops, dish soap, or dish towels to dry plates. Each bathroom only had a partially used toilet roll. The living room was only slightly warmed when we got there, but the bedrooms upstairs were shockingly cold because they weren’t heated. All rooms rely on built‑in electric heaters, but when we turned them on they didn’t work immediately and we weren’t told how to operate them. The duvet and pillows had no covers, and we weren’t told beforehand that we’d need to bring our own; knowing this would have let us bring extra blankets for the living room to stay warm. Only at key hand‑over did we learn that on Sunday we’d have to pay extra for heating and hot water usage, roughly 15‑20 € per day, and we ended up paying almost 80 € extra at check‑out. A detailed description of the room conditions and what guests should bring would have been very helpful, because these are essential items for a holiday stay.
