“Ok for a bush experience but poor facilities. Would definitely not return at this price.”
Hosts were welcoming and food was ok. Extremely poor facilities in unmaintained tents. The bathroom was an utter disaster. They have not invested in anything considering the extremely high price they charge. They lack electricity in the tents at night. A disaster. They have some battery generators that just do not hold for long. It was extremely cold and they provided a radiator but it only kept the battery for 1h. We tried to change it with another generator from another tent and we ran in the same problem after 1h. There was no door between the bathroom and the main room, only a carpet and the back window from the bathroom could not be closed because the zipper was old and ripped apart - hence we were not able to seal the cold from the outside well. Of course the water was ice cold - no hot water - the shower was a joke - a pipe sprinkling cold water in all directions. Bad experience overall. We left after the 1st night even though we had 2 nights planned there. It was clean however, good mattress and bed and food was ok but we slept in cold conditions. Considering the price they charge they should invest in solar panels and a generator that just stores energy instead of those mini useless generators. Hosts were welcoming however, location is also good. It was also confusing on how to reach the premises and how to open the main gate and they were not answering their phones which is very annoying. An employee from Manyaleti gate helped us get in eventually. It was a bit of an adventure but stressful
