“Peaceful and good location, really friendly and helpful owner”
The spot was spot-on for the cave temple—just a short stroll to the entrance and ticket office. Even though it’s tucked away on a quiet lane, it’s close to the main road that leads into town where shops and restaurants are right around the corner. The owner was super friendly and helpful, never made anything a hassle, drove us into town, suggested a great place to eat, and waited before dropping us off at the cave temple ticket office; he also drove us to our next guest house in Sigiriya for a cheaper rate than a taxi. We had a tasty Sri Lankan breakfast with a variety of hoppers, bread, fruit and tea. The room was huge and spotless, and even though the owner was still doing some building work on part of the guest house, it didn’t bother us at all. I’d highly recommend this place for its quiet, peaceful location.
