“They do a good job”

The room was decent and the pool was good. I headed to the Sports Bar and ordered pan‑fried barramundi with Hollandaise sauce, green beans, buttered boiled potatoes for $35, and tried Matso's alcoholic ginger beer and a Chardonnay for $26 – a very nice meal. The free breakfast in the restaurant was pretty basic – cereal, tea, toast with ham and cheese – but I always appreciate a free breakfast, so kudos for that. I also went to the Quiz Night in the bar, but it was the worst quiz ever – so slow it became hilarious!

“It’s good but …”

We liked the location, the included pick‑up service, the basic but perfectly fine breakfast, and the pool area. Because of plane delays we arrived too late, but the dinner menu looked really good and they had a trivia competition going. The staff were fantastic, and even though we were two hours late they honored the pick‑up service. Overall, the price is fine given the extras. The only downside was the condition of the room: we booked a budget room, but there’s a fine line between budget/basic and worn out or damaged. The door handle was broken, making it hard to enter; the toilet leaked; someone turned the water down to reduce noise, so you couldn’t flush, and when you turned it back on it was a constant noisy gush.

“Good location. Secure Parking. Friday night is Rock night”

The location and secure parking were good. The only issue was that it was music night and a very loud rock band played right next to my room.

“Due to the accusation we would not stay again”

The stay was convenient, clean and comfortable, but after we checked out we were told we hadn’t paid for a meal that had been charged to the room. We paid with card when ordering and never gave the kitchen or restaurant staff our room number, yet they knew exactly what we ordered. We had banking‑app proof of payment but still felt very uneasy.
