“Hemingway's-gerne wieder”
The spot right on the Neckar and close to the pedestrian zone is spot on. The hostel feels quirky and original, and the staff are super friendly. The restaurant serves tasty tapas. On the downside, the bathroom was filthy this time – a thick layer of dust on the lamp and black mold in the shower seams made it pretty unpleasant.

The location in the city center is good, and the hostel is relatively cheap because it’s on top of a bar, so it matches what I paid. The staff are friendly. The room felt a bit cramped, with just enough space for the bed, a tiny table, and a chair. The cupboard was very small and already full of hostel items, so I could only stash a few clothes. The bathroom is shared for shower and toilet. Everything is a bit dusty and not very clean. Plus, the room is on floor 4 with no lift and steep stairs, which is fine for me but not for anyone with mobility issues.

The location and the room were great, with a very spacious room and a good vibe at the hostel. The price felt a bit high, but Heidelberg has become quite touristy and there aren't many better options.
