The location was spot‑on and the room itself was nice, but the pet policy was utterly confusing. After checking in we learned the hotel was pet friendly but required a $50 add‑on that wasn’t mentioned when we booked. We were also told the pet couldn’t be left unattended, so we had no choice but to leave it unattended. This needs to be clarified up front.

The bed was excellent and the staff were very nice, but while the mattress was super comfy the pillows felt like concrete blocks.

There was no breakfast, even though it was listed when we reserved.

The spot was handy for Monticello, and most places in southern Charlottesville were just a 15‑minute drive, traffic‑dependent. The staff were very understanding. The only downside was the nighttime noise from Route 64, which made sleeping a bit tough; I’d request a room farther from the highway next time.
