We were supposed to stay four nights at this Homestay, yet we spent half of our trip at the host’s son’s “Peacefull refuge Homestay,” which was also excellent. Both Homestays served very good food. Talking with the owner can be a bit tricky, but otherwise we had a good stay.

The place sits in a beautiful, quiet spot; the rice fields across the road to the homestay are a real highlight. The host was very friendly and helpful, the bathroom and toilet were clean, the bedsheets and mattress were tidy, and toilet paper was provided. Hot water was always on, and the AC worked well. Napping in the hammock with the mountains and rice fields in the background was pure bliss. The mattress was quite hard, making sleep uncomfortable. The food was underwhelming and overpriced; we had dinner and breakfast. Even though the host didn’t know how to cook vegetarian dishes and we don’t eat meat, the breakfast was still not good. Better Vietnamese bread and eggs can be found elsewhere for a much lower price. The host helped us with a two‑wheel bike rental and transport to our next destination.

A tranquil spot with a stunning view of the mountains and rice paddies, perfect for nature lovers who still want easy access to the cultural beauty of Ninh Binh.

We were actually moved to Blue Garden Homestay for some reason, and if you’re moved there too, don’t worry—it was amazing! The family was incredibly hospitable and truly made our Vietnam trip special. They had bicycles, which we loved using, and they treated us like royalty. The only downside was that we had to leave.
