The property is very quaint in a perfect spot, spotlessly clean, and had everything needed for a lovely break. I can honestly say there was nothing to dislike about it.

After booking a last‑minute holiday, I was absolutely delighted upon arrival. Debbie and Paul were exceptional hosts, greeting me warmly and staying attentive throughout, going above and beyond. The room was perfectly clean, stocked with complimentary items—including a lovely homemade flapjack—and the bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to leave each morning. Breakfast at the waterwheel was superb, using all local products, and the highlight of each morning. I’ll recommend it to everyone I know who likes to travel to the lakes and would happily return.

The location is great, Paul and his wife were lovely, and the goodies and toiletries in the room made it feel extra special. Breakfast was amazing.

We spent three nights at this wonderful guest house and absolutely loved our stay. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, preparing a delicious homemade breakfast each morning. Before we arrived, they thoughtfully sent us a list of recommended cafés and restaurants, and during our stay they also suggested great walking routes. We especially loved the homemade cookies they left for us each day. The location couldn’t be better: it’s right in the centre, with everything just a short walk away, yet it’s tucked away on a very quiet and peaceful street. The room had everything we could possibly need, including decaf coffee. We also loved the toiletries from a local brand, which had a beautiful natural fragrance. They made soaking in the luxurious bath after a long day of hiking even more enjoyable. A truly lovely place with thoughtful hosts—we would happily stay here again.

Debbie and Paul gave a delightful warm welcome, chatted with us, and helped plan our day—much appreciated since we were novices. The location is perfect, with a stunning view of the old waterwheel from our room. The room and en‑suite were spotlessly clean. On arrival we received complimentary water, a decanter of port, plenty of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. The homemade flapjack was the highlight, and we were generously restocked on the second day. Breakfast was perfect and served quickly. Overall a lovely stay, and we’re already planning a second visit. Thank you both for making our stay so pleasant and comfortable.
