The breakfast was great, but the pool was a public one and a bit crowded. The shower in my room was problematic – I had to hold it with one hand and the water alternated between hot and cold. Overall, the place could use more upkeep, though the cleaning crew did a hard‑working job and earned top marks 👍.

I do like the area of the location and walking way around the hotel neighborhood super nice super sweet location I love it but. I have bad experience to hear and they give me hard time in front desk you should have to pay only dollar they said we not accept Ethiopian currency But I'm Ethiopian might have to pay and get service by Ethiopian currency this is not fair you should have to be served both people by equality My expectation is so high for the Guion Hotel but the customer service is poor and mismanagement and corrupted finally they serve me by Ethiopian currency because of I'm fighting for my right I don't care about the money they have to be respect me I'm a Spender I'm their customer without customer each and every employee are nothing employee they must have to be respect the customer sorry for putting this coming for you guys because of you did wrong you have to be learned thank you!

The location and view were great, but problems began upon arrival. Initially, staff claimed they had no record of my booking, then later admitted it existed. They told me the room rate was different and forced me to cancel so they could offer me a room. After canceling, they gave me a new rate and made me pay extra. With nowhere else to go, I paid the additional amount and stayed for one night.

I have fond memories of Ghion from my childhood, but during my recent stay there was no hot water in the bathroom. On my next visit to rent, nobody was available to serve me. It’s sad that a place I love is not managed well.

The food was incredible, the staff were kind and helpful, the location was perfect near cafés and pharmacies, and the Ghion compound was very pretty and enjoyable to walk around in, but the room wasn't soundproof and you could hear everything from the next room and outside; the sink was leaking, so the bathroom floor was always wet and you needed slippers to go to the toilet.
