The spot and the staff were fine, but the rooms and the whole place felt worn out; the first room we got was damp and moldy because the AC unit was broken. It turns out it's the third best hotel in Tawau, and if I ever come back I'll make sure to book something better.

The welcome was very pleasant, the staff extremely helpful, the room comfortable and affordable, and there was nothing to complain about.

The departure was the only positive part, but there was no personal welcome from the staff and the check‑in was vague. First, a big clump of hair was on the floor, then we had to watch live camera footage on the TV. There were also (seeming to be) blood‑like stains on the sheets and the bathroom was not up to any standard. We decided to leave immediately; we were offered another room, the person was shocked, but we declined and left with a rattling ride to another hotel.
