The central location with shops and bars right nearby is great. The downside is that you can’t have breakfast in the hotel itself; you must go to a nearby hotel, and it’s inconvenient if it rains.

I received a surprisingly free upgrade from the Bastimento to the Mathis. It was amazing. The staff were friendly and professional, the room was large, the two beds were huge and comfortable, the shower was excellent, and the taps offering free sparkling water were a treat on a sunny 32‑degree day. I felt truly spoiled—thanks.

The staff were friendly and supportive throughout my stay, and they were very considerate of my dog—thank you. The only downside was that there was only one set of sheets, so I had to request an extra one, and the room felt a bit cool.
