We wanted this place to be a base for hiking and exploring the area, but for those who just want to relax, the accommodation itself has everything you could need. The location is very good, a quiet spot in the middle of nature, but not completely isolated. Within 15 minutes there is a supermarket, bars, restaurants and even a self‑service laundromat that could be very handy. The pool and the garden with hammocks and chairs are wonderful, both for spending the day there and for relaxing after a day of hiking or sightseeing. We would have liked more light in the room. The light was so dim that we had to keep all the lights on at the same time whenever we were in the room. Something unrelated to the house, but it did limit our schedules to some extent, was the access road. It’s the typical northern mountain road with chained horseshoe curves. It’s well paved and has very little traffic, but we didn’t enjoy driving there at night.

Maika is a delight; she made us feel at home! The location of the house and the house itself is a luxury! It feels like being in another world, disconnected and fully enjoying nature.

The location was beautiful, the views were stunning, and the food was very tasty! The owner and her sister were warm and welcoming, making it a delightful stay. Nothing negative.

When the magic of the place, the house, and the people blend into one, what happens in Gailurretan is a feeling of well‑being that makes you feel really good. It’s a bit hard to reach because it’s “on the peaks,” but once you get there you can’t believe they built something so special right in the mountains. It’s a rural bed & breakfast that could be called “boutique,” with a family‑run restaurant serving very well‑prepared home‑cooked food. Dinner for guests is guaranteed, and if the outside temperature allows, you can dine on a wonderful porch watching the stars. Maika attends to you, with help from her sister Raquel when we were there. They’re tireless workers who give their best to their clients, with a passion that comes from the heart. Special mention to the pool and the surroundings, a real treat. Everything was wonderful.
