A very disappointing house that shouldn’t be called a hotel. The room cleaning was only on request, breakfast was minimalistic with no fruit, yogurt, or muesli. It’s completely overpriced per person. The mattresses were sagging. According to the information material left in the room, this is a one‑month rental, which should stay that way. For an ordinary hotel guest this arrangement is no longer viable.
“Jederzeit gerne wieder.”
The location for the Mondsee festival was very good; cycling over a few forest and field paths reached the festival without “traffic in the opposite direction.” The house was functional, Wi‑Fi was good, breakfast was good, though two rolls felt a bit too few, but there were still plenty of sides, so if you didn’t feel full it was your own fault. The balcony was nice for sitting. The staff were all friendly, and if requested, the room was cleaned daily. There was a small kitchen with seating and a fridge available to everyone, handy for a few drinks or something to eat in the evenings; you could also sit outside. We mainly used the hotel for sleeping. The construction site, beyond the hotel’s control, made the arrival a bit difficult and a tire was flat (probably a sharp stone), but they offered immediate help and it was resolved right away.
“Ich glaube die Besitzer versuchen das Beste daraus zu machen was von eins noch da ist.”
Basically nothing. The staff were friendly, but the squeaky beds, squeaky doors, and windows that were hard to close after airing were annoying. There was a terrace for smokers, everything else was fine, but the door jammed so you had to push hard to close it, which made me jump every time. I was already jittery from the squeaky beds. For a construction worker’s lodging it’s not bad, but as a regular guest I wouldn’t recommend it. Sorry, I wouldn’t even call it a hotel, more like a pension with ancient furniture and worn carpets. As a contractor’s lodging it’s fine, but not if you want some quiet. We had stayed a week earlier at a pension for 50 € per night, which felt better. It was quieter and nothing squeaked or creaked. We agreed we would have paid about 60 € per night. And one more thing: the Wi‑Fi was not available even though it was heavily advertised.
“Rundum gut, wir kommen wieder.”
Like last year, the location is perfect for the Mondsee if you want to leave the car and cycle. The room has a balcony, ideal for sitting away from the street. Breakfast was good and plentiful enough to satisfy.
I didn't get any service and there was no breakfast even though the hotel had a restaurant.
