Probably the best hotel in India, with a marvelous location right across the Gateway of India overlooking the stunning view, beautiful interior full of flowers and great lighting, a very nice room, and excellent service.

The staff I met were friendly, and the hotel sits nicely in the city center. However, the room’s hygiene was lacking, the beds weren’t cleaned, and the power kept failing with no backup from DG, making it not worth the price I paid.

I booked from the 15th to the 17th of August, but on the 14th evening I called to ask about early check‑in. The manager said I could only stay until the 16th, claiming my non‑prepaid booking would be ignored in favor of those who paid through the Oyo app. I refused to leave after one day and move elsewhere during the holiday season, but the manager flat‑out told me to contact Oyo helpdesk and that he couldn’t help. He even asked why the hotel was still listed on apps if it was overbooked, and why I wasn’t prioritized when I booked a week ahead. Oyo’s feedback team has been calling me asking how my stay went, implying the hotel reported me as a guest even though I was denied all my booked days. If a property can’t honor bookings from other platforms, it shouldn’t be listed there.
