How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast buffet is outstanding and extensive, the dinner menu is varied, and the advice on hikes and other excursions is competent—overall the whole hotel feels warm and family‑like. Nothing to complain about.

Breakfast was very good and dinner superb; the pool offers a magnificent view, the bus stop to Merano or St. Leonhard is close and rides are free, plus there are yoga and massage services. Because the food is so good, you don’t really need to cook, but if you do, you’ll miss a noodle/ salad bowl and a pan.

Breakfast was daily with high‑quality regional products and nothing was missing; the pastry selection deserves special mention. We had a nice spot in the breakfast room, and gluten‑free bread was provided upon request—thanks for that. The room was quiet, cleaned daily, and always top‑clean, deserving five stars. The newly redesigned pool and sauna area are well‑maintained and inviting, and the juices and fruit in the wellness area are superb. It’s an owner‑run hotel where guests are cared for at all times, we felt very comfortable and can only recommend it. We would have liked a longer sauna opening time.

We were recommended the Hotel Zirmerhof by a friend’s couple and our holiday there turned out to be a perfect hit in every way. We booked the “Hirzer” apartment in the side building and were greeted warmly upon arrival. After a long, tiring drive, we could relax on the sun terrace with coffee and homemade cake while taking in a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. The whole property is run with a lot of heart and family warmth by Frau Ortner, and you feel that in every detail. At our request we were also able to see three other rooms in the hotel, each lovingly furnished, each with its own style and, like our apartment, a fantastic view of the surrounding nature. A special highlight was the half‑board, which we wholeheartedly recommend: the breakfast is plentiful and of high quality, the dinner is a culinary experience – lovingly cooked and served. A big compliment to the kitchen! You should definitely join Frau Ortner for a wine tasting – a delicious, social evening! The three weekly guided hikes are also a great offering and give a special insight into the region. After our hikes we enjoyed the heated outdoor pool and the panoramic sauna – perfect for relaxing. We have already booked again for next year and are already looking forward to the reunion. A heartfelt thank you to Frau Ortner and the entire team for a wonderful holiday from day one to the last day! Bottom line: if you’re looking for rest, friendliness, enjoyment and nature, this is exactly the place. There is nothing to criticize.
