This place is fantastic to stay at; the family running it are wonderful, friendly, and helpful, the location is great, and the facilities are spotlessly clean. Renting bikes or mopeds is cheap and hassle‑free, the food is excellent, and the laundry smelled amazing—definitely a place I’d return to.

The property is surrounded by limestone mountains and only a 10‑minute bike ride from Tam Coc; breakfast offers one chosen option from a menu, while a restaurant on site lets you order any plate during the day or a smoothie by the pool in the afternoon, though not every room is a bungalow, which wasn’t an issue for us. The location is a bit farther from the main village, and the pool area could use more lounge chairs so every guest can relax, especially since the hostel attracts many people; additionally, the room could benefit from more lighting, even artificial.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and having a private room right next to the pool was lovely; the food was great and they did almost everything, with the main lady being very kind and helpful—she booked our sleeper bus to Da Nang and arranged a shuttle from the accommodation to the bus station, plus bike rentals are a must for exploring Ninh Binh. The only downside was that paying for everything felt a bit disorganised, making it stressful to remember everything we had eaten and drank, even though it was recorded at the time; perhaps the tab was lost in translation.
