I had a very special overnight stay; the cabin was comfortable, warm, clean, and beautifully decorated with plenty of thoughtful touches and everything you could need. The estuary views were spectacular. Directions from Borstal were clear, and host Eunha met me promptly after 5 p.m., helped with my luggage, and was very kind. A few things to keep in mind: the background hum from the nearby M2 might require earplugs for light sleepers, and the walk from the car parking isn’t exactly 5 minutes. The value for money is excellent for such an unusual venue and the location is brilliant—easy car access to Rochester Castle along the Esplanade or a 30‑minute riverside walk. Highly recommended—give it a try! The only drawbacks were the steep stairs to the upper deck and the slightly muddy carpark, which are expected from a boat accommodation.

The stay was super for our night out. All good.

I had an unusual and quirky one‑night stay that was perfect. The friendly owner met us and showed us our cabin on the top deck at the stern, which offered a lovely view across the Medway estuary. The room was smart, the bathroom was good, and the view was great. We only stayed one night and walked into Rochester for the evening, which took about 30 minutes. It was high tide when we arrived, so the boat was afloat, but as the tide receded the boat sits on the mud flats. Parking in the marina car park was easy. Some photos on the listing show a communal room, but it doesn’t seem to be accessible to guests anymore.

The location is good. The motorway bridge is close by, but it didn’t bother us at all; you don’t hear it from the room.
