“We were not staying there.”
We arrived at the hotel before check-in time to leave our luggage, for a fee, as had been offered to us. The hotel is located on the sixth floor, and unfortunately, the elevator was not working. We asked when it was expected to be repaired, but the staff were unable to give us an estimate. As a result, we decided not to leave our luggage and went elsewhere. After check-in time, we sent an email asking whether the elevator had been fixed. We did not receive a response, so we ultimately decided to stay at another hotel. I’m sure it is a perfectly good hotel, but unfortunately, given the circumstances, we never really had the opportunity to find out
