The room was nice and clean, and I have no real complaints.

The location was fine, but the staff were rude, the place was dirty, and the pool was brown. They handed over our room and “upgraded” us to a king suite without asking me, so my almost 70‑year‑old father had to sleep on a sofa bed. When I confronted the staff, they admitted they had given our room away and had nothing else available. After we got the keys, I specifically asked the women if it was a queen room with two queen beds, and we were still charged extra. We asked for blankets for the sofa bed, they refused to bring them and made us wait 39 minutes at the desk. At 5 am my father asked for an extra towel, they again refused and I had to give him one from our room, which was on a separate floor by the way we had booked two rooms. At breakfast the woman tried to charge us even though the room said free breakfast; we had to go to the desk to get cards for breakfast that should have been handed out at check‑in. The front‑desk girls seemed to be running a prostitution ring or drug operation. While waiting for our bedding, two men and two women came to the front desk, received no information from the staff, yet the woman handed them a key and said “just don’t stay all night.” If the room was paid for, why wouldn’t they stay? The experience was terrible. There was no manager until Monday morning, so the weekend staff did whatever they wanted. Zero stars. I will contact the Better Business Bureau so corporate can get involved. Disgusting place!

I stayed in a King Room as a solo traveler and it was simply the best. The staff were friendly, the room was huge and had every single thing I could need for a short visit, and the bed was soooo comfortable! I usually bring my own pillowcases and blanket when traveling because a lot of places have stiff pillows and scratchy blankets. Not this place! It was like sleeping on a cloud surrounded by a plethora of plush pillows. I slept like a baby the whole time! This was the second Hilton Garden Inn that I stayed at during my trip to NY and I’m seriously impressed with how this company operates. I’ll be staying exclusively with HGI for future trips after my great experiences. Bonus: Visit Cacciatori Pizza in Nanuet for a great pizza and friendly counter service! I’m still thinking about that pizza! Also, Rockland Bakery nearby is a magical wonderland that you NEED to visit before leaving! Just make sure you leave room in your carryon for all the amazing bagels, pastries, and goodies you’ll be taking home!. The only issue I *personally* had was the turn into the property is so sudden and if you miss it, don’t make the mistake of thinking there’s a back entrance like I did. Don’t turn at the light right outside the hotel! There’s no side entrance from that street. I ended up back on the highway and due to the far distances between exits, it took me 13 minutes to get back to the hotel. If you miss the turn, make a u-turn at the next light or something, it’ll save you a ton of time!

The front desk Janayah was amazing. She was kind and cheerful. She was the nicest, and friendliest person there. The room was clean, besides needing a new shower head. It was old and looks dirty, I'm sure it wasn't, but it looked it. & the pillows are horrible. featured, but cheap, not firm, I woke up with a head‑neckache. but, the hotel was nice, although I can see why it's rated only as a 3 star hotel. When people travel and spend money on a hotel room, and they offer breakfast, they don't expect to come down in the morning, and come to find there is a big sign taped to the glass where the buffet is, telling us that the breakfast is NOT complimentary, that, in fact it is $16.99. It was just disappointing. and a let down. I think that's least they could do for their guests. It was upsetting
