The host’s treatment and the accommodation itself were lovely, almost newly renovated, and the breakfasts shared with her husband and son were extraordinary and well‑prepared. The family‑like atmosphere, the first‑day travel tips, even a beach umbrella, and a safe deposit box for keys were all great extras. Parking is easy despite the beach area, and the distance to the historic center is just right—no need to walk the whole way, just go until it narrows and take Roma Street. Gallipoli is beautiful; one can dine on each of the three main sides of the wall in different ways each day. Roma Street is great for shops and atmosphere, and the historic center has quality meat and fish restaurants. The town hall hosts many events around the wall worth attending: jazz, theater. Don’t miss the Roman monument and the Carmen church, hidden among shops and ice‑cream parlours. The green beach is heard from afar (luckily we didn’t go there, it must be too much) as young people kept taking transfers. The walk to Gallipoli’s historic center with the fairs is a psychedelic experience like when we had fun in Spain. The shared breakfast lounge lacks air conditioning; I understand that guests shouldn’t disturb others at night, but maybe during the day… As always, the private Italian beaches, but the host told us which ends were free.
