They showed me the wine cellar and recommended a local izakaya for dinner. The bath was a regular home bath, but it turned out to be a hot spring, which I didn’t expect. There were free cold water machines and a kettle, which was great. It’s new, so walking barefoot was fine, and it was clean. The bath is by reservation only, and the toilet is mixed gender, which surprised me a bit. Slippers weren’t lined up, so most people walked barefoot; I don’t like slippers, so that was fine.

I booked a room with a bath, but all rooms had no bath, so I requested a refund. It took some time, but I got the refund.

The natural hot spring is a plus because you fill it each time, so unlike a public bath you don’t share it with others and it stays clean. The fridge was in the entrance; I wish it were at least within slipper‑walking distance. The tub was a bit small.

“Not great”

The tatami room was just OK, I guess. I got the impression we were paying for a private apartment but it was shared with others, and the bathroom was shared. It was very cold. I was given the wrong address, no towels, and they charged 150 yen per bath towel.
