The restaurants, the fun angles, and the design of the space were great, but the building gave off a faint smell of everything that had ever been there.

The location and rooms are good, but there are no options to buy food or drinks in the evening, and there’s no wellness area (we’re talking about a $400 hotel).

The location was awesome, right next to the Charles River, and the room was clean and spacious, but it’s a bit old, with noise from the vent fan and traffic on the road.

I was drawn to the lovely garden and the patio that came with my room, but the hotel is a bit far from Boston’s center. The ceiling in my bathroom leaked from the upstairs unit the first time I mentioned it and the staff seemed unconcerned; on my second visit they were more attentive. We dined at the restaurant and the food took a long time to arrive, but the quick‑serve café staff were terrific and fast.

The river view of the room was great. I am glad we paid the extra amount for such rooms. The bathroom shower faucet was leaking all night long
