“Buena estadía en Catania”
The place was easy to get to for exploring Catania, but the surrounding area wasn’t great. We had to walk two ugly blocks to reach the city centre, which was tough for us two older ladies to do alone at night. The breakfast was very basic.
The location was fairly convenient, but it was too noisy in the morning.
A cozy spot, the host was very friendly and helpful, the place was clean and orderly, and it was quiet.

I liked that the location was convenient and that the rooms matched the photos exactly; they were clean, and we appreciated that breakfast was included in the price—a pastry and a coffee of our choice from the shop downstairs. What I didn’t like was that at the end of our trip we ran into an unfriendly owner. Before we arrived, he had told us to cancel the Booking reservation and offered a discount, which we declined. Everything stayed as originally booked and we paid in cash. However, the day before check‑out he cancelled our reservation without telling us. When we asked, he didn’t apologise or try to fix it; instead he shouted at us and blamed his son, saying the son had accidentally cancelled it. When we said we’d contact Booking, he got even more aggressive and kept shouting. What was especially unpleasant was that there was no apology or real attempt to take responsibility—only excuses and shifting blame to his son. The issue isn’t the money; it was the bad feeling of being put in that situation and then treated that way when we asked for an explanation. Without this incident, our experience with the apartment would have been much better, because the apartment itself is actually very good.

Everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail. It was very clean and well maintained. A fantastic stay and the owner Alessandro was fantastic!
