It’s an impressive old building with a spacious room that includes a living area; the pool is nice after a long day, the dining area is large, and the dinner is simple yet tasty; the remote location means few choices nearby, so better signage would help.

The view was wonderful and the whole old quinta felt lovely; the reception, dinner, and wine were special, and the spot is great for exploring the Douro Valley, but the facilities—especially the shower—are worn out and need updating.
