The riad sits on a small side street at the end of the Medina, and there’s a parking area just a 2‑minute walk away, so taxis can drop you off without a long walk with luggage. The riad itself is beautiful, and you can see how much care goes into the plants in the courtyard and on the terraces. The staff were very friendly and always ready to answer questions. The food was delicious, and I’d definitely book dinner there—high‑quality food, a little pricey but worth it. Two small downsides: the rooms are well equipped, but I’d ask for one on an upper floor because in some rooms, like the Nightingale room, other guests eat right outside your door, which can be noisy and offers little privacy—you have to keep the curtains closed. If you’re out all day, this isn’t a problem, but we also like some peace and quiet to sleep. Also, for a place called the “Riad of Birds,” I was a bit sad to see birds in cages; I’d rather see them flying freely.
