“Charming old style seaside hotel with mod cons where possible”

The location was great and the building had a lovely old‑world charm; we booked a suite that was nicely renovated with a separate lounge and dressing room, a full‑size bath with an overhead shower, a good selection of teas, real ground coffee bags, cookies, fresh cakes, and bottled water, plus USB power points beside the beds—overall a great stay. The parking was free (but a charge of ten pounds from Dec 2026) and operated on a first‑come, first‑served basis only—paying for a guaranteed spot might have been better. Full breakfast with many options was included and excellent, but it arrived slowly; we were leaving to catch a flight so it took longer than expected.

location was great. Nice facilities. Good bar. Excellent restaurant. Staff good. Dog friendly. Bedroom a bit small. Limited poarking

“Distraught and angry that my mobility issues declared at the time of booking were totally ignored”

The bar offered a decent view, but the room was cramped and the double bed was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on. Climbing four flights of stairs was a nightmare, especially after I told them I’m disabled with mobility issues and a heart condition that requires a pacemaker. The only view from our single window was a close-up of the bricks and roof of the building next door, and neither my husband nor I were impressed.

“A very enjoyable stay. The staff were most accommodating.”

The location, bar, and food were excellent, but parking isn’t clearly advertised. There’s a small first‑come, first‑served car park with no other nearby options and no way to reserve a space, even for elderly or disabled guests.
