“Inspirerende lodge op alle gebied!”

A truly original, artistic lodge run by a driven American, with profits going to keep the educational and nutritional program she started for the village kids alive. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and if you want, the owner is happy to take you around the area or help arrange transport, excursions, and so on. Every day you can see what she has accomplished over the past three years: children coming for breakfast and lunch, young people working on art projects, and more. The accommodation can be quite noisy, especially early activities around the lodges and the lack of insulation on the roof—something that will hopefully be fixed soon. It would have been handy if the room trash bin had been emptied during a longer stay.

A lovely initiative by a very kind host who’s eager to help and even give you a tour. The rooms are really nice for the price you pay, and it’s just a 5‑10 minute walk to the lakeside. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience at this hotel, the owner was very friendly and the price was reasonable. I arrived on a holiday and the owner even helped me find a restaurant. The hotel was newly renovated, which was a nice touch.

“Thanks for the hospitality and the Christmas Dinner/Cheer. The Ilala trip to Senga Bay was great”

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel, thanks to the incredible food and the friendly, helpful staff. However, I did encounter a few minor issues with the air conditioning and roof leaks in my room, but these were not major problems. Overall, the hotel's positives far outweighed its negatives.

“Schöne familiäre Anlage, im Zimmer war es leider zu warm”

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities were beautiful. My room was lovingly decorated and I even received a free tour of the area. I appreciated that the hotel's proceeds go to supporting local children. However, I did have some issues, such as not receiving a receipt after paying in cash, and my room was quite dark and got too hot at night. Additionally, I was startled by a large dog on two occasions, both in front of and inside the hotel.
