Golden Nest Near Chhatrapati Shivaji Airport

The staff were incredibly rude, demanding more money than I had booked and even calling the app people to raise the price from 1300 to 2500. They fought with me for an hour, wasting my time even though I was exhausted and needed a bed, and also argued with me over the driver. Cleanliness was zero, the room was unhygienic, and the staff’s behavior was very, very rude. I was literally asked to leave immediately after they raised the price in front of me; if I had another option, I would have slapped them and left.

Not getting breakfast was a bit of a letdown, but I guess that's what I got for the price. The real issue was the receptionist's loud phone convo in the middle of the night - I was stuck with the first room, right next to the front desk, so I got to hear every word.

I was really disappointed with my stay - the AC wasn't working right, there were hardly any towels, and no dining options in the hotel. Plus, the staff seemed really unskilled. Overall, it was a pretty bad experience.

“Welcome to the real india”

As a British tourist who's been traveling in India for 50 years, I think this area is the real deal - the hotel's got AC, TV, clean sheets, and a clean restroom, but some European tourists might find it a bit of a cultural shock; just a heads up, it's a safe neighborhood, but if you're looking for a European-style hotel, there are plenty of those in Mumbai too; one thing I didn't love was the chaos on the main roads, so I'd recommend grabbing an Uber instead of walking near the Western Way Highw
