“Pretty expensive for the room we got, small room with a terrible view!”

The location was close to the wedding we attended, but we felt like we got the worst room in the house because we booked through a third‑party site.

The location was okay and driving in was great, but the interstate next door made it loud and that’s something to be aware of when booking. The nearby sugar factory left an unpleasant odor in the air, which was not pleasant. Breakfast was poor for this type of hotel—almost no bread, no mass‑compatible muesli or corn flakes, and the hot dishes were low quality. Coffee and hot water were only available during breakfast hours. We’ve stayed in many budget hotels across the U.S., but this was not even the standard. We stayed three days, each day we had to call housekeeping (which is common now, no problem), but only one of the two rooms was cleaned; we had to double‑check and we were still not on the list for the next day. For two days we had to speak to three people and send several requests to the front desk, and it wasn’t fully carried out. In one of our rooms the toilet flush was broken; a repairman was supposed to come but never did, so we had to improvise because a room change wasn’t possible. The shower drain was defective and water didn’t drain properly. All in all, it didn’t work out. We’re not used to hotels like this, and it was a real disappointment.

The main part of the hotel had a smell that was way too strong, so I wouldn't stay there again just for that.

“Overall the stay was great.”

The rooms and property were very clean and the breakfast was good, but the hot tub that was promised on booking was out of order when we arrived.
