The breakfast was wonderful and the staff were friendly. The shuttle shown in the photos isn’t available to everyone, so we had to walk up and down the hill many times because no taxi would take us the 500 metres.

The hotel's location is a major plus – it's super easy to get to, and the castle and village are just a short stroll away. The rooms are enormous, which is a rare treat in Japan. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, but the breakfast options are a bit limited, with not much in the way of Western food. Still, it's a great base for exploring the area.

The staff here are really kind and helpful, which made a big difference during my stay. Unfortunately, there were some things that were missing – I'm not sure what the exact phrase was, but it roughly translates to 'nothing' or 'absence'. Still, the staff's friendly attitude made up for some of the hotel's shortcomings.
