The lake view was great, the room was acceptable but set up more like a motel with doors external to the parking lot rather than a hotel, and the shampoo and toiletries felt a bit cheap; breakfast was not the best, a bit skimpy for the price of lodging, with no hot food offered and a very basic continental spread.

I liked the lakeside balcony and the firm bed, and the orange loaf cake at breakfast was a treat, yet I needed warm protein options like scrambled eggs and sausage or ham, and the breakfast seating was limited for the number of people when all rooms were booked.

From the moment we arrived, Dave and Denice were fantastic; breakfast was fresh, varied, and tasty, the rooms cozy, and the rate was unbeatable. When we were ready for the ferry to Mackinac Island, they arranged the shuttle for us, and if we ever head back to St. Ignace, we’ll definitely book again. Nothing to complain about – everything was perfect.
