The location was great and the place was very quiet.

The staff were very welcoming, but the place felt tired. Breakfast was delicious, though there was a bit of a wait, and it was good value. The room was adequate, quite spacious but could use a bit of TLC. The courtyard wasn’t very inviting. The location was great for visiting Dartmoor Zoo.

The property sits nicely on the golf course grounds, giving a rural and peaceful vibe while still being only a few minutes from Plymouth’s busy centre. The rooms were great, the terrace was lovely as it was hot and sunny when we stayed, drinks were on point and the cooked breakfast was top tier. The only thing I could say is we weren’t able to have lunch when we arrived because the area was booked for an event; in hindsight I should’ve checked table availability before I arrived to make sure they could seat us, I will check next times to make sure!
