The beds are comfortable, the room is tidy and clean, and the owner is very nice. The breakfast is simple. The room lacks a TV and the bathroom has no shower box, so when you shower everything gets wet. The price is higher than the standard for a guesthouse.

Leninha is a genuinely warm host—friendly, humble, and always ready to chat, even sharing her poems and paintings. The pousada itself is gorgeous, perched right on the São Francisco River, and we woke up to sunrise over the water, which made every peso worth it. The only hassle was the rough dirt road and scarce signs; we got lost after dark and had to ignore Google Maps, so keep an eye out for the little sign.
