We had a good experience staying on the boathouse for one night and would definitely recommend it as a unique and enjoyable place for a short stay. The interior is beautiful and has a lot of character, and spending a night on the water was a really nice experience. That said, it does feel like the boat could benefit from some maintenance and a little more attention to cleaning. We noticed a few things that could use fixing, such as a loose sink, doors that were quite difficult to close, and some damage to the safety net around the deck. The damage to the safety net is especially concerning when staying with a toddler, as it made us feel unsafe on the deck. Although being on a boat can be fun and exciting for a child, because of the safety concerns, we would not wholeheartedly recommend it for families with young children at this time. The main guest area was reasonably clean, but some of the decorative features, such as the window displays, seemed to have accumulated quite a bit of dust and felt like they had not been touched in a while. We still had a great time and would happily recommend the boathouse for a night or short stay. With a little maintenance and some extra attention to cleaning and safety, I think the experience could be even better and the boat could really shine again

The place was magnificent and super calm; it’s a real change of scenery. Easy walk to the city centre. A lovely little town with a nice boat ride.
