Super pleasant welcome. Lovely restaurant. Beautiful old building. Easy access from the motorway. Fortunately the windows were sound‑proofed, though there was a lot of traffic noise right outside.

The address is about to close in early 2027 as the owners retire, so there’s little point in rating it again, but if anyone still thinks they can book a night and grab a meal, go for it! This old timbered building exudes an amazing authentic vibe, with a striking art collection on the walls. The owners love pampering guests with excellent food. For cycling enthusiasts, it’s also a great spot in the beautiful Lippetal.

After asking, I was able to arrive a bit early and could arrange the breakfast timing as expected. The room was clean and well‑maintained, and the next‑morning breakfast was plentiful and more than enough for me. I stayed only one night, so I can’t comment on longer stays. I didn’t hear any restaurant noise from my room. The inn is not a modern hostel but a timber‑framed house with a distinctly “old‑world” décor; if that’s not your taste, you’ll be disappointed. I found it charming. :)

The owners and staff were very accommodating, and the food and breakfast were above average. Nothing negative.

The staff were friendly and the breakfast was also good, but the price‑performance ratio doesn’t match my view. Charging such a high rate for a double room per night at a hotel that’s clearly aging is hard to justify.
