Hotel Castelo Nacional Inn Campos do Jordão

I liked the architecture of the themed rooms – they’re really beautiful – and the breakfast was wonderful. The room facilities left something to be desired: the bedding seemed quite old, the shower and toilet were next to each other, water from the shower leaked into the toilet area, and there was no face towel, only a towel economy. The pool was great and warm, but those staying in the annex got a terrible chill because the passage isn’t covered, causing a thermal shock; you have to bring clothes and change, and even then I found it far away.

“Perfeita”

Everything was absolutely perfect, with the pool being the highlight for us, except for one dirty window on the side that looks out onto the storage stone.

“Lugar legal, mas com pontos a melhorar”

The castle atmosphere is cool, feels like a museum, and you can wander around for hours taking great photos. We had an issue with the chalet we were in and the hot tub didn’t work, but they resolved it quickly and gave us another room with a hot tub. The breakfast was weak for a hotel of this level, the Wi‑Fi in the rooms was poor, the chalet lacked a hot tap water which is a hassle in the cold, there is no air conditioning to heat, and the small heater doesn’t keep up on very cold days.

“Castelo de inspiração francesa”

The Castle title is truly justified! There are “hidden” rooms that are eye‑catching and super Instagram‑worthy. There are also more elaborate rooms inside the Castle, and an annex building with rooms. I stayed in the annex and liked it just the same! However, some guests pay a certain price expecting to stay in the Castle, only to end up in the annex. Make sure you check what you’re booking.
