“i would not recommend it to my enemy”
The place was open for use, which I appreciated. However, the outdoor seating area needed a refresh; it felt like a back alley in a slum, with cold water and air, and the hot tub had been boarded over.
“It was okay not one of the better quality hotels that I normally visit.”
Getting there was easy, and the staff were friendly and professional. Unfortunately, people were smoking right outside the door as I was heading to dinner, nearly causing me to fall.
“Dilapidated”
The facility was filthy and dilapidated, with torn carpet, a scary-looking elevator, hand dirt and fingerprints everywhere, and bleach‑stained hallway carpets. Two rooms were boarded up with plywood, the other was drywall. The continental breakfast room was on the lower level, the thermostat set to 72 °F while the rooms read 80 °F, making it hot. There was no reason for the self‑service breakfast bar, coffee cups were in a different place than the cover, and the refrigerated milk was elsewhere. Everyone was polite but crowded; people had to stand to eat even though there was room. The smell was strong Indian food from the restaurant, musty, almost moldy or mildew. There was no shower curtain, no toothpaste, and the mattress cover zipper was broken, exposing the mattress.
The property felt very outdated: tiles were missing around the pool, the elevator smelled, and there was no housekeeping service.
“Would be embarrassed to call this a Wyndham”
The waffles were good, but the batter ran out right after us. The location was poorly lit, stuffy, and everything ran out by 8:15 am with no staff to restock. We had to find our own plates in the cabinets at 7:45 am when we arrived, even though breakfast opened at 7 am.
