The holiday park was nice, especially if you enjoy fishing; the caravan we stayed in was really nice and had a fishing peg next to it, so we’ll definitely return.

The lodge was spotless, roomy, and outfitted with modern gear, and I couldn't find any faults.

The spot of Castleton Static Lodge is perfect, right by the lake, and the deck veranda gives a dreamy open space to soak in the view. I loved swinging on the seat and the family hanging out on the cozy benches beneath the umbrella. Inside, the beds are very comfy and the single ones are standard width, which isn’t always the case. The en‑suite in the main bedroom was handy, and the extra bathroom was a nice bonus. The kitchen was great, and thanks for the biscuits and chocolates! The living room is spacious with plenty of seating, and the dining table is very useful. Castleton is one of those rare places where storage is built in intuitively to maximize space; every turn reveals an extra cupboard or drawer. We’ve fallen for the Lincolnshire Wolds and can’t wait to return in the autumn. Many thanks to Neil, the owner, for his help, advice, and quick responses. Looking forward to coming back. Leaving… will stay longer next time!

The grounds are spacious, with seven lakes for fishing and walking. The café serves breakfast and more. The owner of the caravan/lodge is really nice and flexible with times, which makes a huge difference. Fishing from the front of your caravan/lodge is a huge bonus for me. The site’s location is in one of our favourite areas, close to all the amenities, towns, villages, pubs, etc., and not too far from the coast. Possibly weak wi‑fi, but we’re on holiday so that’s not a deal breaker. No other negatives.
