Everything was spot on—volleyball, a great gym, spacious and spotless rooms. Loved it.

All the facilities were solid, but the doors between rooms didn't reach the floor, letting us hear neighbors and smell their cooking.

The lake front with boat rides is nice, but staying over Labor Day weekend with my wife, our three young daughters, and my parents in two rooms turned out to be one of the most disappointing experiences. At check‑in, one room wasn’t ready until about 4:40 PM even though the stated check‑in was 4:00 PM. The staff claimed they’re “very busy and understaffed” and that I should handle their manpower issues. When I asked about the delay, the front desk employee was rude and dismissive, citing that Booking says rooms are available “around 4.” I asked if that meant I could also check out “around 10” instead of the stated checkout time, and the answer was no. That exchange summed up how absurd the explanation was. They offered an 11:00 AM “late checkout,” but that hardly compensated for sitting in the lobby with three young children waiting for a room that should have been ready at check‑in. The front desk attitude throughout was rude, defensive, and anything but welcoming. Once we entered, the problems continued. Our room was split over two floors, a detail that wasn’t disclosed anywhere in the description when we booked—critical for families with young kids, elderly guests, or anyone with mobility concerns. Worse, we found multiple cockroaches in our room, which was absolutely disgusting. We’d already seen another couple with a child rushing to the lobby to complain that their room was full of dead cockroaches. After hearing that and then finding cockroaches in our own room, it didn’t feel like an isolated incident. The indoor pool was another major issue: extensive visible rust throughout the pool area and on the equipment made us uncomfortable having our children use it.
