I made an emergency reservation because of a heavy snow. When I informed them, they responded very kindly. In the end, I couldn't reach the hotel due to terrible traffic, but they still cared until the end. I want to visit again next time.

The spot was super convenient, just a few minutes on foot from the station and near Atami and Hakone, and the price for a private room was very reasonable. Unfortunately, the air conditioner was weak and malfunctioned during my stay; with the heat I had to leave the window open while sleeping for three nights, which was quite uncomfortable.

The manager was really unprofessional: yelling in the house at 3:00 am and arguing with us when we asked him to stop. Before that, he didn’t welcome us upon arrival, let us choose our room because he had given the room we were supposed to have to another guest, and yelled at his colleague in front of us during dinner (calling the other guy dumb and saying he was tired of cleaning is s***) This experience was really weird, almost unreal at this point and we thought of leaving after the night (out of the 3 we booked). It seemed he got fired after the first night and the next two days with the new manager were better (the guy who was insulted by the previous manager the night before). It seems they're just starting in the guest house business at that time and they need to improve to meet the basic standards of a Japanese accommodation. Manazuru is quite a cool place with fish restaurant by the fish port and good sushi places.

Because it's located in a residential area, it's very quiet. Even at night the facility is sparkling, so it's easy to see. It has a washing machine, the bath is deep so you can relax, the bed is fluffy, and I slept like a log. No particular negatives. If anything, the walk to the station is downhill, but returning to the facility is uphill, a little tough on the way back.
