“Een oase van rust met fantastisch personeel”

A quiet oasis on the now pretty busy Tenerife. The historic building sits in a lovely village that’s a wedding spot in summer and a hotel/bed‑and‑breakfast in winter. The rooms are spacious and kept very clean, the breakfast is delicious and plentiful, and the pool is nice for unwinding at the end of the day. What struck us most was how friendly the staff were: the manager, his grandma, the cleaners and the breakfast attendants—all extremely kind and helpful. The price is fair, and we recommend this place to friends and family! Minor issues did arise, but they were fixed quickly and to our satisfaction, so they’re not worth mentioning.

The owners welcomed us warmly, and the property itself is lovely with a beautiful pool area. The breakfast is good, and the bedding is comfortable. The room’s equipment might need a small refurbishment.

A great old manor with a stunning garden and a wonderful pool. The breakfast was extremely tasty. The terrace was fantastic. Alvaro, his grandmother, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful, and any problems were dealt with immediately.

A very nice location, centrally situated in the old part of the city, ideal for exploring all of North Tenerife. The breakfast is quite good. It would be worth considering a place where you can eat inside in the morning, as that wasn’t possible this time. Alvaro is a very good host who cares about his guests, and there’s no question about that.

“A truly exceptional stay in a beautiful old villa with wonderful welcoming hosts”

Our stay at Suites de Franchy was exceptional. It’s a small, family‑run B&B that’s only open for part of the year. The beautiful old villa is wonderfully decorated with antiques, and our room was lovely. Breakfast is served every morning in an elegant common area, and you can also dine outside on a pretty patio, shaded and overlooking snow‑capped Mt. Teide with a fountain trickling behind you. The gardens and pool provide a peaceful spot to relax in the sun. The house is perfectly positioned to explore the magical little town of La Orotava, and a local tavern and pizza place are right next door, making life easy for small families. It was a wonderful time, and the family running the hotel are all incredibly welcoming and generous in their hospitality. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
